On this edition of The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias, we head over to the terrific French Quarter Tiki Bar, Latitude 29. It’s operated by Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and Annene Von Durchgerockt. This time around, we’re joined by two of the great bartenders there, Kimberly Patton-Bragg and Sam Danners. We talk holiday Tiki drinks, their Sippin’ Santa program, rum, and more!

We kick things off letting you know about this week’s show as well as the next couple episodes. Next week’s show features a chat about Top Taco and Agave Week. The following week is the start of our new French Quarter Fest Series!

Then, we have our featured interview over at Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29. Bartenders Kimberly Patton-Bragg and Sam Danner join us. These two are not only very talented bartenders, but also great guests full of wit, humor, and knowledge!

We talk about holiday Tiki drinks and their “Sippin’ Santa” program that has grown from Latitude 29 and now takes place in several bars around the country. We sample some of the drinks on the menu, talk Tiki (in part, its secretive culture), rum, and more!

We also get some insight on Kim and Sam’s background, their experience working at Latitude 29, and how they approach their job. They stick around for a short “Another Shot with NOLADrinks” where we chat about another cold-weather and holiday favorite beverage.
