We start things off letting you know about this week’s show and imploring everyone to be good citizens and remain responsible with social distancing as the world “opens back up.”
Then, we have our featured interview, by phone, with Robért LeBlanc, founder and creative director of LeBlanc+Smith restaurant and hospitality group. We discuss various aspects of re-opening the economy and what it means for the restaurant and hospitality industry in both the near and far-term.
We talk about what the landscape may look like soon as well as how it may look moving forward. We touch on ideas of how opening at 25% capacity may work for some establishments but not others.
Additionally, we touch on how guests may feel and behave, addressing how service and offerings may need to change, the lack of clarity on guidance with some things, concepts of safety for employees and guests, and much more.
Robért sticks around for our podcast-only segment, “Another Shot with NOLADrinks.” There we continue the chat and talk about, among other things, some ways LeBlanc+Smith is approaching things currently.
