On this edition of The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias, we chat with two cocktail icons! We welcome the foremost Tiki cocktail historian, Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, and New Orleans bartending legend, Paul Gustings. We talk about all kinds of things with lots of stories and lots of laughs. Among other topics, we touch on Jeff’s fine restaurant and bar in the Quarter, Latitude 29, and Paul’s recent gig at Alma.

Hard to believe that we’ve never had these two guys on the show at the same time! Both have been on several times before, but never together. We chat with Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and Paul Gustings, two cocktail legends and two good friends of mine.

Jeff, of course, is the world’s foremost Tiki cocktail historian, award-winning author, and co-proprietor of Latitude 29, a fine Tiki cocktail bar and restaurant in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Paul is a renowned NOLA bartending icon who has worked in some of the most famous spots in the city and other facets of the industry for decades.

One of the best parts of doing a show with guests like Jeff and Paul is that there isn’t the need for much planning as to what we talk about (not that we do much of that anyway on The NOLADrinks Show!) It’s just a fun, funny, and interesting conversation.
