On this episode of The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias, we’re talking the Year of American Whiskey – a series of regular monthly events taking place at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in partnership with the New Orleans Bourbon Festival. We chat with the festival’s co-founder and executive director, Tracy Napolitano, and the museum’s president, Brent Rosen. We talk about the events, the festival, and the museum. We also talk about the American whiskey industry and sip on some terrific expressions!

The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias – The Year of American Whiskey at SoFAB with New Orleans Bourbon Fest – 2022Ep2

This is our first show taped in 2022 and second one out of the gate in the New Year, overall! We’re back at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum (SoFAB) talking about the Year of American Whiskey. This year-long series of events is put on by the New Orleans Bourbon Festival in partnership with the museum.

Joining us on this episode is Brent Rosen, president of SoFAB, and Tracy Napolitano, co-founder and executive director of New Orleans Bourbon Festival.

Each monthly event will feature a different American Whiskey brand showcasing some of their expressions. The brands and festival will make sure there are always knowledgeable people on-hand to let you know about what you’re tasting. Also, the museum’s bar will feature a few cocktails showcasing the brands’ wares. Food will also be on-hand.

Many of the events will tie-in with the exhibits and other things happening at SoFAB. We talk about the series, highlight some of the brands, and let you know what to expect when you stop by.

Also, we talk about the American whiskey industry including its growth around the country and how these events seek to showcase the breadth of what it out there. We let you know about the New Orleans Bourbon Festival and the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. Of course, we sip on some great whiskey expressions and chat about them – all are exclusive festival barrel picks (and we let you know just what that means, too)!
