This time around, we’re bringing you a look at this year’s New Orleans Bourbon Festival that is back in action after two years of pandemic-caused delays. It’s a terrific event that features two grand tastings with delicious food, music, cigars, and, certainly, great whiskeys. We talk with the event’s co-founders, Barbara Hirsch-Napolitano and Tracy Napolitano.

We discuss the event and all that it offers including, beyond the tastings, terrific seminars that bring in some of the biggest names in the American whiskey world. There are dinners, a bartender competition (the Bourbon Brawl), a judging, and much more.

Also, we talk about the event’s history and some of the challenges that the organization faced during covid. Importantly, we let you know about the charitable component behind the festival and its broadening mission that now looks to support young people in and connected to the hospitality industry.

Additionally, we let you know about the Year of American Whiskey. This is a year-long series of monthly events taking place in partnership with the Southern Food and Beverage Museum.

The event is March 23-26 in New Orleans. Discounted rooms are available on the fest’s website if you’re coming from out of town. Also, there are different ticket packages and experiences whether you just want to hit one grand tasting or cover a lot more ground including the great seminars. Visit their website here.

Cheers and Be Well, You All!
