It’s a broad conversation where we discuss the bar industry, CureCo., it’s growth as a hospitality group, and more. We also discuss their place in the New Orleans scene and well-beyond. Neal lets us know not only about Cure, but also about their other locations – Cane and Table, Val’s, Peychaud’s Bar, Cure at the NOLA airport, and their Washington D.C. spot, Dauphine’s.

Another big part of our conversation is Neal’s upcoming book, Cure: New Orleans Drinks and How to Mix ‘Em, due out in October. He lets us know about the impetus for writing the book with co-author, Emily Timberlake.

It’s an ode to New Orleans and its historically and contemporarily important cocktail scene. The book includes classic NOLA drinks, important Cure concoctions, some bites recipes, and much more.

Throughout our conversation, we talk about the industry ranging from hospitality, the effects of covid, CureCo.’s philosophy, and many other concepts. Neal sticks around for our podcast-only segment, “Another Shot with NOLADrinks,” where our chat continues and, among other things, we discuss the return of a full, in-person Tales of the Cocktail in July and Neal’s part in the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation as its co-chair.

Cheers and Be Well, You All!
