We’re back after enjoying and participating in the 20th anniversary edition of Tales of the Cocktail as it returned to New Orleans in its full, in-person format! We taped a couple shows at the event (with more to come later) starting with this one – and it starts with a bang! We chat with Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and David Wondrich, two of the foremost cocktail historians on the planet and two great guys. As usual with Dave and Jeff, we talk about a host of things including their seminars at Tales, bartending, drink making, and much more!

It was great to be back at Tales of the Cocktail as they celebrated their 20th anniversary and the event’s return to the full event as it was meant to be! Lots of great stuff went on and it was great to see lots of terrific friends in the drinks business we hadn’t seen face-to-face in a long time! We taped a couple shows at the event, starting with this one. The plan is to bring you more programming derived from the event in the near future, as well. So, stay tuned!

This time, we’re joined by friends of the show, Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and David Wondrich. We talk about their seminars taking place at Tales (please note – the show was taped before the seminars occurred) including “Nixology: Understanding the (Best?) and Worst Drinks Ever.” You might be able to imagine where that goes!

We also chat about Dave’s award-winning new publication – The Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails. Certainly, we also discuss Jeff’s work and his terrific New Orleans spot – Latitude 29. As is always the case when Dave and Jeff join the program, the conversation is wide-ranging, oft irreverent, and highly informative all at the same time. We talk about bartending trends, hospitality, and a whole host of other stuff!

Don’t need to say much more – just give it a listen!

Cheers and Be Well, You All!
