This time around on The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias, we chat with Tracy Stuckrath, founder of Thrive Meetings and Events and host of the Eating at a Meeting podcast.

Please note that this show was taped prior to Hurricane Ida and our planned late summer and fall hiatus. We have one more pre-storm show and a few from a while back yet to come out and new stuff coming soon!

The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias – Eating at a Meeting – 2021Ep17

As the owner and principal of Thrive Meetings and Events, Tracy is an expert in both event planning as well as nutrition and dietetics. Her focus is assisting those putting on events of all shapes and sizes to be smart about the food and drink they serve with a focus on inclusion and safety. It’s a fascinating conversation whether you plan large events or are just looking to be smarter and more welcoming with your next family gathering!

Tracy also hosts the fun and interesting podcast, Eating at a Meeting, that brings these topics to trade and other interested audiences. We discuss what she does, her background, and how she works with event producers and other related groups to effectively address these issues.

We touch on food allergies, religious beliefs that affect diet, and how being more inclusive can not only make people feel more welcome but can also make event planning and economic sense. As she says, “I’m passionate in helping you not offend or kill people with the food you serve!”

Also, we talk about ways to bring these ideas and strategies to your events. There’s a lot here whether you’re a restaurant, put on events, or are just looking to be welcoming in your home entertaining.

Tracy’s show (as well as The NOLADrinks Show) can be found on Nitty Grits Podcasts, the podcast network of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum.

Cheers and Be Well, You All!
