Joining us on the show are Jared Zeller, president of Friends of Bayou St. John and the festival’s director, James Clesi, owner of Clesi’s Restaurant and Catering, and Tania Vidal, vendor manager for Bayou Boogaloo. Thanks to our friends at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum for hosting us for the taping!

We let you know about the history of the event and what it means to return to a full-on festival after the pandemic. We discuss the stellar music line-up and highlight some of the acts that will be appearing on the various stages. We also highlight the food and drink program including Clesi’s that will be cooking up crawfish and dirty rice. The festival also boasts around 60 artists and vendors located in the festival’s art market.

Jared, James, and Tania stick around for our podcast-only segment, “Another Shot with NOLADrinks,” where we talk further about Bayou Boogaloo including some on the history of this special feature of New Orleans. We also let you know about how the event benefits the non-profit, “Friends of Bayou St. John.”
