Roger Anderson of The Kitchen Counter Podcast stops by to talk about his terrific show. It is also one of the newest shows added to Nitty Grits Podcasts, the podcast network of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum and the National Food and Beverage Foundation (where you can also find this show!)

We talk about Roger’s background starting with growing up around the “greasy spoon” restaurant world to his creation of The Kitchen Counter Podcast based on his home cooking journey and experiences. We discuss his approach – including a “no-judgment-zone” vibe – helping educate and inspire the home cook whether a serious enthusiast or just looking to feed the fam on a weeknight.

Also, we talk about some of his recent episodes and his participation as part of Nitty Grits Podcasts. Other topics include how he thinks the pandemic has affected the home cook, kitchen appliances, cooking shows, and more!
