On this edition of the NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias we talk with Jim Clarke of Wines of South Africa about next week’s South Africa Wine Week. We also chat with Lincoln Case of Pontchartrain Vineyards about his recent trip to California. Of course, we touch on the late, great Fats Domino and some thoughts on the John Besh sexual harassment and assault scandal.

NOLADrinks Show – 10-26-17 – South Africa Wine Week

We start the show off talking about the recent passing of the great Antoine “Fats” Domino, Jr. Of course, we spin his incomparable music throughout the show at every commercial break.

We then share some thoughts on the recent John Besh sexual harassment and assault scandal. Sexual violence in the hospitality industry is something we have talked about on the show with various guests for some time and it remains a critical problem. Certainly, this particular instance and the broader topic will be revisited in more detail very soon.

Next up, Lincoln Case of Pontchartrain Vineyards calls in and discusses his recent trip to California’s wine country, primarily to Mendocino. He shares some of his thoughts and a couple stories connected to the effects of the California wildfires.

Then, Jim Clarke of Wines of South Africa (WOSA) gives us a call. We talk about next week’s South Africa Wine Week taking place at various locations around town. We taste through a couple interesting wines while we discuss some of the particular events. Stay tuned for more on this!

We close out the show with a couple more thoughts on Fats Domino and mention a couple events happening this weekend.
