The NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias – Bartenders Roundtable at Midnight Revival – 2022Ep12

We happy to bring you this informative and lively show – our “Bartenders Roundtable!” It’s just an opportunity to “talk shop” with industry-leading bartenders about drinks and hospitality!

We’re over at Midnight Revival the new bar and music venue located in the newly reopened Frenchmen Hotel located on Frenchmen Street in the heart of New Orleans’ premier music district. Our esteemed panel of guests are Abigail Gullo of the Loa Bar in the International House Hotel and Drink & Learn, Stacy Johnson of Cocktail+Creative, Fern & Falernum, and the Sazerac House, and Patrick Williams of Midnight Revival and Angevin & Co.

Among many topics, we talk frozen drinks (especially as we move into the hot times here in NOLA) and what makes elevated versions of these cool refreshers work (Remote condenser? Who knew?!?). We also touch on batching, the Vieux Carré cocktail – and when a drink needs a new name with certain changes, vermouth, and much more!

Of course, we learn about what our guests our up to in their respective gigs and let you know a lot about Midnight Revival. This includes some great music you can hear as part of French Quarter Festival’s “After Dark” series where they are hosting the post-fest Sunday night gig!

All three of our guests stick around for our podcast-only segment, “Another Shot with NOLADrinks,” where dive further into our chat including some important thoughts and ideas on hospitality and bartending. It’s not just making drinks, that’s for sure! If you’re in the industry or are a fan and enthusiast of the bar world, you want to catch this show.

Special thanks to Midnight Revival and The Frenchmen Hotel for hosting us!

Cheers and Be Well, You All!
